THATCHER, AZ : Arrest follows Thatcher rollover accident on Tuesday, June 27, 2017
After a Monday afternoon rollover accident near Golf Course Road and 1st Avenue, a Pima man was airlifted to University Medical Center in Tucson with severe injuries.
According to a news release from the Graham County Sheriff’s Office, a Polaris was eastbound on Golf Course Road at around 1:41 p.m. when it went onto the shoulder. The Polaris then re-entered the roadway, crossed both lanes, rolled over and came to rest on the north side of the road.
A male passenger identified as Steve Prophet, 46, of Pima, was taken by Life Line Ambulance to Mount Graham Regional Medical Center before being transported to Tucson. According to the news release, Prophet suffered severe head and right arm injuries. He was listed in critical condition.
A second passenger, a male juvenile, passenger was treated at the scene and released to his family.
According to the news release, the Polaris’ driver was identified as Kristen Blan (also known as Johnson), 44, of Pima. Blan was suspected of driving under the influence and had a warrant for her arrest. She was booked into the Graham County Jail on the warrant. Additional charges will be submitted to the Graham County Attorney’s Office for review when the investigation is concluded.
