AVILLA, IN : Albion man dies from injuries in SR3 crash on Wednesday, 9th January 2019

An rural Albion man died in a Fort Wayne hospital after sustaining a serious head injury in a crash on S.R. 3 morning.

Ellsworth Peck, 81, died Sunday evening at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne from what doctors said was a massive head bleed he sustained in a crash at S.R. 3 and C.R. 300N near Avilla. Peck had been airlifted to the hospital via Samaritan air ambulance after the crash.

The three-vehicle crash had lanes of the highway shut down Friday morning just after 10:15 a.m.
