ALTAVISTA, VA : Campbell County school bus involved in crash on Wednesday, 27th September 2023

A Campbell County school bus was involved in a crash in Altavista Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Altavista Police Department, officers were alerted to a crash in the 1500 block of Main Street.

A school bus was hit from behind by another vehicle traveling north on Main Street. Police say there were about 15 children on the bus at the time of the crash.

Some students reported non-life threatening injuries. They were checked out by Campbell County EMS.

Police say more information will be released when it becomes available
