Seatle ,WA : One woman hit and Killed by Pickup while using walker to cross Seneca Street at Fifth Avenue on Thursday ,March 26th 2015

Traffic collision detectives are investigating after a woman was hit and killed in a downtown Seattle crosswalk Thursday.

Officers received calls at 4:30 p.m. after a pickup hit a woman who was using a walker to cross Seneca Street at Fifth Avenue.

Police said the driver immediately stopped his truck waited for police to arrive.

Seattle Fire Department medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center, where she later died.

The two men in the pickup truck were not hurt in the crash.

Drug recognition experts evaluated the driver but did not detect any signs of impairment.

Detectives are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
