Fargo,ND : Motorcyclist and killed after crash with car near I-94 on April, sunday 30th 2017

A 24-year-old who died Sunday, April 30, after crashing his motorcycle into the side of a car at 45th Street and Interstate 94 had a history of reckless driving, including being clocked at 140 mph on a motorcycle on I-94 in Fargo last year.

Police on Monday identified Tanner Beighley of Fargo as the driver of the motorcycle that struck a car exiting I-94 at 45th Street at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday. Beighley was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died. The driver of the vehicle he struck wasn't seriously injured.

Mid-afternoon on Feb. 26, 2016, state troopers say Beighley hit 140 mph on I-94 near the Red River Valley Fairgrounds exit, leading to a misdemeanor charge for reckless driving. He was sentenced to a 30-day suspended jail sentence and ordered to take a defensive driving class. He has also been cited for a litany of other traffic violations in Minnesota and North Dakota, including for exhibition driving and careless driving.

Photos and videos of Beighley riding a motorcycle dominate his Facebook account, including some showing him standing up on the back of his bike while lifting up the bike's front and riding on just one wheel.

The crash is still being investigated.
