Two people have died in a head-on crash in southwest Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 11 a.m. Thursday when a pickup truck collided with a car at a curve on Missouri 59 in McDonald County. The victims were identified as the car's 28-year-old driver, Ashley Tharp, of Pineville, and a 27-year-old passenger, Cody S. Blevins, of Sebastian, Florida.

The patrol says a 7-year-old boy who was riding in the car was flown to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries.
