Tallahassee, FL : One person injured when a car collided head-on with a dump truck on Capital Circle Southwest on Monday morning, May 23, 2016

At least one person was injured when a car traveling north on Capital Circle Southwest collided head-on with a dump truck Monday morning.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office was notified of the crash at 7:18 a.m. Lt. Grady Jordan, LCSO spokesman, said the car veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons just south of Fox Swamp Road.

The collision spun the car, causing it to hit another car traveling behind it.

Jordan said the driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Capital Circle Southwest was shut down from Gum Road to U.S. Highway 20 because of the crash.
