Sangamon County, IL : Two men injured in crash on Illinois 97 west of Springfield on Monday morning, February 8, 2016

Two men were taken to Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries after their vehicles collided on Illinois 97 just west of Springfield Monday morning.
Illinois State Police reported a car driven by Ryan S. Richno, 22, of Springfield was traveling south on Covered Bridge Lane at 9:55 a.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign. Richno's vehicle struck a car going west on Illinois 97 driven by Adam J. Avera, 34, of Girard.
Traffic was blocked for about an hour while the crash was investigated.
State police did not immediately indicate if any citations were issued.
