QUINCY, IL : Quincy man faces charges after South 24th crash on Thursday, 23rd April, 2020

A Quincy man faces charges after a Thursday night crash on South 24th Street.

The Quincy Police Department said a 2004 Buick LeSabre driven by Shaun D. Wright, 40, of Quincy, was traveling north at 10:29 p.m. when it veered off the road to the east and struck a road sign and tree at Sterling Avenue. QPD said the vehicle continued north and veered off the road a second time, striking a tree at Crystal Avenue.

QPD said Wright complained of right eye pain after the vehicle's air bags deployed, and he was taken by Adams County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

Wright was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and no insurance.
