Eugene, OR : Deadly crash closes I-5 northbound near Highway 58 junction on Thursday October 22 2015

At least one person died in a crash along Interstate 5 northbound Thursday morning just south of the Highway 58 junction.
Oregon State Police said the crash happened around 9:50 a.m.
No word from officials on how many cars and people were involved in the crash.
The northbound lanes are blocked, and the Oregon Department of Transportation is working to set up a detour for traffic. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
