Kershaw County, SC : Driver struck back of parked equipment trailer in fatal I-20 crash Friday morning on October 10, 2014

One person was killed after the car they were driving collided with an equipment trailer parked in the median of Interstate 20 on Friday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Highway Patrol troopers say the unidentified victim, a 26-year-old woman, was traveling westbound on I-20 when her Acura left the roadway and truck the rear of the equipment trailer. The victim was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted. She died at the scene. All westbound lanes were closed for several hours while troopers investigated the crash, which happened near mile marker 97 around 11:35 a.m. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
