BERRYVILLE, VA : Laundry detergent spilled in tractor-trailer crash on May, Wednesday, 24th 2017
A tractor-trailer overturned this morning and dumped its load of laundry detergent in the median of Va. 7 west of Berryville.
Virginia State Police Sgt. F. L. Tyler said Jeffery L. Burch, 31, of Cincinnati, was driving a 2014 International tractor-trailer westbound on Va. 7 when the cab and trailer separated around 10 a.m. Neither section hit another vehicle.
The cab ended up on the eastbound side of the guardrail in the median about one-tenth of a mile west of Route 660 (Russell Road). The trailer overturned and came to rest in the median on the westbound side.
Boxes filled with bottles of laundry detergent spilled out of the top of the trailer and into the median.
Tyler said there were no injuries.
Virginia State Trooper R.D. Riggs investigated the crash and charged Burch with failure to secure his load to the vehicle.
