Corning, NY : Addison man killed in motorcycle accident in Corning on Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2016

An Addison man was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Corning.

Richard A. Starkey, 63, Addison, was driving on the Interstate Highway exit 46 onramp at approximately 3:30 p.m. when his motorcycle hit the guiderail, troopers in Horseheads said Sunday.

Starkey was ejected from his bike into the median.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Steuben County Coroner Alan Lewis.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, troopers said.

The Corning Fire Department also responded to the scene.
