Sacramento, CA : A 22-year-old Weaverville woman was killed and five others injured on Tuesday, September 19th 2017

A 22-year-old Weaverville woman was killed Tuesday and five others injured, including three minors, after a Trinity Transit bus collided with a car on Highway 299 at a rest area west of Douglas City, the California Highway Patrol is reporting.

Priya Kaur Sandhu died at the scene after the 6:30 p.m. crash, the CHP said.

According to the CHP, Sandhu was driving eastbound on Highway 299 when she pulled into the Moon Lee Rest Area, made a U-turn within the entrance and stopped at a posted stop sign there.
