Wilmington, DE : Woman injured after hitting parked cars on Red Lion Road Sunday, January 1, 2017

A woman was hospitalized after the vehicle she was driving crashed into two vehicles parked on the side of Red Lion Road Sunday, New Castle County Paramedic Cpl. David J. McKinney Jr. said.

Paramedics were called to the 1200 block of Red Lion Road around 4 p.m. where a vehicle had struck two others along the side of the road after the driver suffered an "apparent loss of consciousness," McKinney said.

Paramedics treated the driver of the vehicle for chest and face injuries. The driver, a 58-year-old woman, was hospitalized in stable condition. A child in the vehicle was unharmed, McKinney said.
