ROCKFORD, IL : 3 people hurt in 2 vehicle crash at West State Street and Pierpont Avenue on Thursday, 24th January 2019

A two-vehicle crash Thursday at West State Street and Pierpont Avenue sent three people to the hospital.

According to police, a southbound car ran a red light and collided with an eastbound minivan.

The driver of the car, described as a 24-year-old woman, and two men in the minivan were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say that alcohol use likely played a role in the crash.
