Quinter, KS : Hays teen injured in I-70 crash early Monday, June 6, 2016

A Hays teen was injured when his vehicle entered into the oncoming lanes of traffic and rolled on I-70 early Monday, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Anthony W. Gilliland, 18, was taken to Gove County Medical Center, where a hospital spokeswoman said no information could be given on his condition Monday night.

According to a KHP report, Gilliland was driving west on I-70 at 5:53 a.m. Monday, three miles west of Quinter, when his car entered the median and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The car turned and began going sideways before rolling one time and landing on its roof, the report said.

It was not known whether Gilliland was wearing a seat belt.
