Bicyclist hit, killed in crash with Orlando Police officer

Orlando Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a bicyclist and a police cruiser in Orange County.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on South Kirkman Road near the Pine Shadows Condominiums, which is just south of LB McLeod Road.Police said the marked OPD cruiser hit the bicyclist, wh1o was pronounced dead at the scene.Witnesses told investigators the officer behind the wheel was not at fault for the crash and was not speeding.

The officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.Police have not released the identities of the victim or officer involved.The police department's Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating.
