Milwaukee, WI : One person killed in a hit-and-run crash on city's north side Thursday night August 6th 2015

Milwaukee police have identified the man killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night on the city's north side.

Brian A. Hamilton, 39, was driving southbound in the 1400 block of W. Atkinson Ave. when he was struck shortly after 8:30 p.m., according to a police news release.

The striking vehicle, which was traveling at a high rate of speed, continued heading south on N. 13th St. from Atkinson Ave. It is described as small and dark with fully-tinted windows, likely with visible damage from the crash. Police are still searching for the vehicle and its driver.
