MOORHEAD, MN : Man identified in fatal beet truck-car collision near Moorhead on Wednesday, March 29th 2017

A Twin Valley man died shortly after noon Wednesday, March 29, after a crash between his Acura Integra sedan and a truck hauling sugar beets at the intersection of 90th Avenue North and Highway 75.

Moorhead firefighters cut the roof off the car to extricate the driver, according to Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist.

The driver of the car was identified by the Minnesota State Patrol as Duane Lamarr Johnson, 87, of Twin Valley.

The driver of the beet truck, Jordan Allan Wolff, 28, of Hunter, N.D., was not injured, the patrol reported.

The crash was reported about 12:15 p.m., the patrol reported.
