Aiken, SC : Seven injured in single-vehicle wreck on I-20 in Aiken County on Tuesday September 6 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated a single-vehicle accident Tuesday evening on I-20 at mile marker 25 in Aiken County, which left seven people injured.Lance Cpl. Judd Jones, with the Highway Patrol, said the driver of the vehicle, Lucio Tatia-Medina, 53, of North Carolina, was driving east on I-20 at 6:50 p.m. when a tire blew out causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the road into the median and overturned.


Jones said there were six passengers in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Three of them were ejected from the vehicle on impact, Jones said.
All seven were taken to Augusta University Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries, he said.Tatia-Medina was wearing his seat belt and has non life-threatening injuries, Jones said.
