SHREVEPORT, LA : Woman killed on Interstate 49 identified on Thursday, 19th October 2023

A woman who was struck by vehicles while crossing Interstate 49 on foot late Thursday has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Anja Niccole Brewster of Shreveport, 48, was crossing the interstate near the Terry Bradshaw Passway close to the Bert Kouns Industrial Loop exit just before 8:40 p.m. when she was struck by a passenger vehicle. She was then struck by a truck.

Brewster died at the scene.
