A driver has been charged with driving under the influence after a car crashed and caught fire in East Providence.
The single car crash happened just after 1:00 a.m. Friday morning on Interstate 195 east of Taunton Avenue.
When emergency crews arrived on scene the car was fully engulfed with flames. Traffic was reduced to one lane.
The driver, 27-year-old Travis Stone, of Swansea, is charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, disorderly conduct, and driving with a suspended license.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Stone is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
