The driver of a Chrysler sedan is said to be in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital after ending up down a 60-foot embankment and crashing into a gully. Sgt. Jerod Keyes, Ohio Highway Patrol, Dayton Post, said the preliminary investigation shows the car was headed north in the 9000 block of Astoria Road when it went off the right side of the road, struck and knocked down a road sign, crossed the center line as it went off the left side of the road and down the embankment. Rescuers said they smelled alcohol in the vehicle and near the driver, Keyes said, but whether the man was intoxicated will be part of the ongoing investigation. source : Driver seriously hurt in Germantown crash into gully
