Nashville, TN : 23-year-old man died in fatal crash on Nolensville Pike on Monday morning, Aug 10, 2015

A portion of Nolensville Pike was closed down for several hours on Monday morning following a fatal crash.

According to Metro police, 23-year-old Jadarrius Cook lost control of his 2009 Nissan Maxima in the northbound lanes and ran into a concrete drain culvert near April Lane.

Cook, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

Police are conducting testing to see if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
