CAMPTON, NH : Two people suffered serious injuries when they were hit by a car in Campton on Monday, July 17, 2017

Two people suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon when they were hit by a car in Campton.

They were hit about 2:40 p.m. on Route 175, at the intersection with Broomstick Lane.Police said an 84-year-old man and 73-year-old woman had just crossed the road when they were hit near the shoulder.

Officers said neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors.
