Columbus, OH : 4 teens airlifted after Clinton Co. rollover crash on Friday, 12th August, 2016
Four teenagers who were not wearing seat belts were seriously injured Friday night in a rollover crash.
A 16-year-old Sardinia girl was driving west around 9:30 p.m. on Lynchburg Road in a silver 2000 Dodge Durango when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch, causing heavy damage, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Wilmington Post.
The driver, Elizabeth N. Alexander, and her front seat passenger, 16-year-old Alisha N. Willard, of Lychburg, were taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Two rear seat male passengers, Caleb J. Willard, 18, of Lynchburg, and Jordan A. Ashcroft, 19, of Blanchester, were taken to Clinton Memorial Hospital, where they also were later flown to Miami Valley Hospital.
In addition to troopers, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson Twp. Fire Department, Martinsville Fire Department and Blanchester EMS responded to the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and none of the teens was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol and drug involvement is not known, troopers said. The crash remains under investigation.
