Maryville , MO : Driver injured and passener killed after man lost control of his truck and crashed into several trees on Saturday , November 22nd 2014

The Blount County Sheriff's Office said a Maryville man lost control of his truck and crashed into several trees. The impact injured the driver and killed the passenger. The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. Saturday morning on New Blockhouse Road near Warbler Way in southeast Blount County. The sheriff's report said Ryan Scott Wilson, 20, lost control on a right hand curve causing the truck to spin and flip upside down. The passenger, Brandon Randell Lunsford, 33, was ejected from the truck and died from his injuries. The Blount County Fire Department had to use extraction tools to free Wilson who was pinned under the truck bed. Life Star flew Wilson to UT Medical Center. He has since been treated and released from the hospital. The sheriff's office said neither men were wearing seat belts and the truck did not have airbags.
