Clarksburg, IN : No one injured when car crashes into Indiana County house on Wednesday, June 22, 2016
No injuries were reported when a Nissan Maxima crashed into a house just before 8 a.m. Wednesday along Route 286 in Clarksburg.
“Three-quarters of the car was into the structure,” said Tunnelton-Conemaugh fire Chief Rick Bouch.
The car hit the front corner of the house in its first-floor living room area. The house is about 10 feet from the road, near a curve, Bouch said.
He said two people in the car were able to free themselves from the wreckage.
The car was towed and a man who was alone in the house indicated he would contact his insurance company and make arrangements to shore up the damaged building, Bouch said.
