Opelika, AL : Valley man dies in single-vehicle crash on U.S. 29 in Opelika Thursday, September 1, 2016

A Valley man died Thursday after being involved in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Opelika.

Thomas Cozart, 52, was killed when the 2001 Indian motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a culvert. Cozart was wearing a helmet. The crash occurred at 7:09 a.m. on U.S. 29 seven miles north of Opelika.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
