Palmyra, MO : Three teens injured in crash east of Palmyra on Sunday afternoon, March 12, 2017

Three Hannibal teens were injured in a Sunday afternoon crash east of Palmyra.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2005 Hyundai driven by Melody L. Christal, 16, of Hannibal, was northbound on Marion County Road 413, east of Palmyra, at 3:25 p.m. The patrol said the driver lost control of the vehicle, which struck a utility pole and overturned multiple times.

Christal and a passenger, Jaiden E. Salyer, 14, of Hannibal, were transported by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with moderate injuries. A second passenger, Lucas Richards, 15, of Hannibal, was transported by Survival Flight to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.

The patrol said Christal and Salyer were wearing seat belts, but it was not known if Richards was.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Hannibal Fire Department.
