FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI : Alabama woman identified as fatality in I-75 crash on Saturday, 1st September 2018

An Alabama woman has been identified as the fatality in a Friday afternoon crash at the I-275 ramp off northbound I-75. (See earlier report)

Robin Howard, 57, of Tucsumbia, Ala., was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the crash. Howard was driving a 2018 Ford Escape when she rear-ended a semi truck that had broken down, deputies said. The truck had just become disabled and was on the left shoulder, partially in the roadway.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
