Quincy, IL : Woman injured after crash involving semi, SUV north of the city on Friday morning, February 24, 2017
A Quincy woman suffered minor injuries after a Friday morning crash involving a semitrailer and a third vehicle north of the city.
A report by the Adams County Sheriff's Office said that Leesa Hanlin, 50, had been traveling north on North 12th Street, stopped at a stop sign at U.S. 24 and then proceeded into traffic.
Hanlin's SUV was then struck by a semi driven by Donald Woopen, 45, of Princeton, who was traveling south on U.S. 24.
Hanlin's vehicle then struck another SUV driven by Kristen Peters, 35, of Quincy, who had stopped at the entrance of the Spring Lake subdivision.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office, assisted by Tri-Township Fire and Rescue, responded to the scene at 8:08 a.m.
Hanlin was cited for failure to yield at a stop/yield intersection and was taken by private vehicle to Blessing Hospital.
Each driver was wearing a seat belt.
