Fort Worth, TX: Driver killed in rollover crash near Eagle Mountain Lake on Wednesday, July 15th 2015

A driver was killed early Wednesday after slamming into a tree in a fiery roll-over crash near Eagle Mountain Lake outside of Fort Worth.A witness who lives nearby reported the accident around 2 a.m., Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Terry Grisham said. Sheriff’s deputies arrived at 9300 Ten Mile Bridge Road and found the car turned over and on fire.The first deputies on the scene tried to free the trapped driver, who was conscious, but the fire was too intense, Grisham said. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was the only occupant of the Ford Taurus.The driver was dead by the time firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire, Grisham said.The road was closed for at least four hours Wednesday morning while authorities investigated.
