Knoxville ,TN: 67-year-old man struck by hit and run vehicle on Sunday ,July 19th 2015

Knoxville police responded to a report of a hit-and-run on a 67-year-old Knoxville man near Beverly Park Par 3 Golf Course early Sunday.

According to police, a preliminary investigation shows Donald R. Graham was walking westbound on the 5200 block of Tazewell Pike when a vehicle struck the man traveling in the same direction around 4 a.m.

Graham, a senior manager in corporate risk for Pilot Flying J, was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and was initially listed in critical condition.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Don and his family, and we hope for his fast and full recovery," a statement from Anne LeZotte, communications manager for Pilot Flying J, reads.

Graham was not carrying identification on him so his identity was unknown until his wife started calling area hospitals after he failed to show up from his morning run.

Authorities said they are working on identifying the type of vehicle involved in the incident, and that it should have significant front end damage.
