Delray Beach, FL : Man, 68, killed in I-95 crash near Delray on Friday, 17th January, 2020

A 68-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 near Delray Beach, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Authorities identified the driver as Peter D. Coleman, 68, of Wyoming. According to a crash report, Coleman was traveling south on I-95 north of Atlantic Avenue shortly before 9 a.m. when, for reasons unknown, his Chevy 3500 truck went off the road and onto the grass shoulder.

The vehicle, which was pulling a trailer, continued traveling on the grass shoulder until it struck a fence that bordered a tree line.

Coleman was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
