COLUMBIA, SC : 1 dead, 3 injured after 3-car crash on Garners Ferry Road in Columbia on Thursday, 7th November 2024

One person is dead and two are injured after a multi-car crash in Columbia Thursday morning.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) said the crash occurred on Garners Ferry Road, around four miles south of the city of Columbia.

A 1994 Chevy S10 pickup truck was traveling east on Garners Ferry Road when it slowed down to make a U-turn, according to troopers. A 2001 Ford Taurus also traveling east hit the truck in the rear, pushing it into the westbound lane.

After the car was pushed into the westbound lane, it was hit by a 2021 Chevy Silverado traveling west.
