San Antonio, TX : 45-year-old man killed and one person injured in head-on crash between Porche and minivan on Vance Jackson Road in San Antonio on Friday morning, Aug 7, 2015

A 50-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a head-on crash after losing control of his Porsche on the North Side near The Rim.

The man, identified Sunday night by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office as Fernando Sepulveda, had been heading north on Vance Jackson Road near Rim Pass when he crossed into oncoming lanes around 9 a.m., police said.

As the driver approached the intersection at a high rate of speed, he barreled head on into a mini-van, detectives said. The driver of the Porsche died at the scene.

The driver of the van was transported to an area hospital. His condition is not immediately available.
The medical examiner's office said Sepulveda died of multiple blunt-force injuries received in the crash.
