Lake Township, OH : Akron man killed at Middlebranch Avenue and State Street NEV on Tuesday, 28th August 2018

A 52-year-old Akron man was killed late Monday morning when his car collided with a truck at Middlebranch Avenue and State Street NE.

Jimmie Thomas II was driving north in a Chevrolet Malibu on Middlebranch Avenue NE when he entered the intersection and into the path of the eastbound truck.

A 51-year-old Alliance man was driving a Sterling four-axle straight truck on State Street, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Thomas’ vehicle was struck on the driver’s side. Both vehicles wound up on the north side of State Street.
