Pilot Rock, AR : 20-year-old woman dead after crossing lanes and crashing into car near Pilot Rock on Friday, February 19, 2016

Oregon State Police said 20-year-old Alexis Therwhanger of Kennewick died Friday near Pilot Rock, OR after she crossed lanes and crashed with on oncoming car.

Oregon State Police said Therwhanger was driving a 1998 Buick Sedan Friday evening on Highway 395 just eight miles south of Pilot Rock when she crossed over into the southbound lane and crashed into 60-year-old Francis Wimberley in a 1994 Lincoln Continental.

Therwhanger was pronounced dead at the scene. Wimberley is at Kadlec Hospital with serious injuries. His passenger 54-year-old Donnetta Kulis also has serious injuries and is being treated at St. Anthony's Hospital. Both Wimberly and Kulis are from Prairie City, OR.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
