Nampa, ID: 2 men injured in I-84 crash near Nampa on Wednesday, July 22nd 2015
A tractor-trailer drove off Interstate 84 in Nampa early Wednesday morning, slid down an embankment and crashed onto railroad tracks, sending two people to the hospital.The crash happened around 12:46 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-84 at milepost 35, near Northside Boulevard in Nampa.Michael Willard, 52, of Newport, North Carolina, was driving a 2015 Volvo semi pulling a single trailer, according to a news release from Idaho State Police. The semi went off the road on the median side, down an embankment and came to rest on the railroad tracks that run under the overpass at that location.Willard and his passenger, Randy Deans, 58, of Pikeville, North Carolina, were transported to the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground ambulance. It is unknown if seatbelts were worn by either man.
