DeKalb County, GA : 1 taken to hospital after DeKalb crash on Thursday, 19th December, 2019

A Garrett woman was taken to a local hospital Thursday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash in DeKalb County, the county sheriff's department said.

It said Jordyn B. Hamman, 17, of Waterloo was traveling north on County Road 31 about 3:30 p.m. when she failed to yield the right of way at the U.S. 6 intersection.

Hamman's vehicle collided with a vehicle driven east on U.S. 6 by Rebecca Gibson, 64, of Garrett, the sheriff's department said.

Gibson was taken to Parkview DeKalb Hospital with chest pain, it said.
