A head-on collision near Annapolis Monday evening sent two men to a hospital with critical injuries.
The crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Aris T. Allen Boulevard near Riva Road, said Capt. Russ Davies, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
A Toyota Tundra driven by a 46-year-old man collided head-on with a sedan driven by a 33-year-old man, Davies said. Both men were trapped inside their cars.
It took firefighters 15 minutes to extricate the men. Two Maryland State Police helicopters landed on Aris T. Allen Boulevard and transported the men to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Both men sustained critical, possibly life-threatening injuries, Davies said.
