Hudson, FL : Teen killed after hit by car at State Road 52 sidewalk in Hudson on Monday, April 25th, 2016

A teenager was killed Monday night while walking along State Road 52 when a driver lost control of a car and jumped the sidewalk, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Brooke Ashlee Gonzalez, 19, of Citra, was walking west near Chenwood Avenue when she was struck about 10 p.m., troopers said. Scott Thomas Yutzy Jr., 22, of Lakeland, lost control of his 1999 Ford Escort before the collision, according to the

Highway Patrol.

No charges had been filed as of early Tuesday morning, troopers said.
