CAMILLUS, NY : A man from Marietta was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, June 17, 2017

A man from Marietta was killed in a motorcycle crash in Camillus Saturday morning, according to New York State Police.

Troopers say Mark D. Edmonds, 67, was driving his Harley Davidson on State Route 174 just before noon with several other motorcycles when he went off the road and struck a guardrail.


Edmonds was thrown from his bike from the crash, state police say.

Several witnesses stopped to help and began performing CPR, however troopers say Edmonds was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The accident shut down the roadway for nearly five hours.

WAVES Ambulance, Camillus Police and Fire Department all responded to the scene.
