61-year-old school bus driver charged
A South Carolina school bus driver is facing a drunken driving charge after crashing her bus into a ditch.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says 61-year-old Margaret Means was ending her morning route on Friday when she ran off the road and went into a ditch.
Means' route usually includes elementary, middle and high school students, but authorities say no children were on the bus at the time of the wreck. District officials say Means had dropped off students at a middle school and a high school just before the crash.
Means was not hurt and was charged with driving under the influence and child endangerment. She has been released from jail on bond, and it wasn't known if she had an attorney.
