SOUTHAMPTON, VA : Crash causes lane closures on US-58 west on Friday, 20th September 2024

One person has died after a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Friday morning, the Southampton County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded to the on Route 58 westbound near Drewry Road shortly before 9:30 a.m.

According to police, there was one driver in each vehicle with no passengers. Both drivers were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. One driver has died.
