Alaska State Troopers say a 22-year-old Wasilla man is dead after a two-vehicle wreck in Wasilla Monday morning.

William Fletcher was headed eastbound on Bogard Road at about 9:13 a.m. when he swerved into into oncoming traffic and hit a Chevy Silverado, being driven by 46-year-old Jeffrey L. Noffke, officials say.

"Noffke sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene," troopers wrote. "Fletcher suffered serious injuries and transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased."

Troopers say Fletcher's car was the subject of a REDDI report shortly before the fatal crash. Officials believe both men were wearing seatbelts.
