BIRMINGHAM, AL : Deputies search for driver involved in fatal hit-and-run on Tuesday, 17th September 2024

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is working to bring justice to a hurting family as they search for the driver involved in a fatal hit and run last month.

Deputies have released new surveillance video in the case. They say 31-year-old Kameron Tompkins was traveling on his motorcycle on Center Point Parkway when he was hit in August. Deputies say the driver left the scene.

Metro Alabama Crimestoppers Director Bob Copus says that more than a month later, they have no tips in this case.

Copus says Center Point Parkway is a very busy roadway and he knows someone must have seen something. He urges anyone with information to come forward.
