COLORADO SPRINGS, CO : Driver charged and passenger injured after early morning crash in Colorado Springs on Saturday, 1st April 2023

Colorado Springs Police are investigating a single car traffic accident that happened early Saturday morning.

CSPD says their officers responded to the accident where a female driver lost control on the 800 block of South Murray Boulevard, near Airport Road and South Academy Boulevard at 2:35 a.m.

The vehicle left the roadway striking multiple fixed objects. A male in the backseat had no seatbelt on and was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, according to police.

Speed and alcohol are factors in this crash and the investigation is ongoing. The driver, Nataly Herrera Elias, 32, was arrested and charged.
